Reviews for Practical Arnis Stick Fighting: Vortex Control Stick Fighting for Self Defense

I love this book. I have learned a lot about self defense and how to use sticks as well. I will be buying som sticks soon and I will be practicing using this books guide. William Chen As a kali stick fighter, I've been exposed to Balintawak. It is probably the best close stick fighting method besides Sarada. So far I am really enjoying the different take on Balintawak and I will employ these methods in my training. By far the best book by Sam Fury, although I have enjoyed his other books tremendously. I look forward to more of this kind of instruction. Anon Research of what is popularly known as FMA Filipino Martial Arts. I found it to be historically informative and an easy read. Nice table of contents, appendices, and exhaustive references. I would suggest for anyone interested in the Philippines, FMA, and history as expressed by someone who lived it, and learned from the people that established this great history. trainwithdavid This book has the best diagrams and examples I've seen. It is also concise and directions are clear and easy to follow. Nathan Bohon
