Steve Ruis is an avid archer and coach. He has a Level 4 Coaching Certificate from USA Archery and a Master Coach Certificate from the National Field Archery Association. Since 1999, he has been the Editor of Archery Focus magazine which is distributed worldwide. He has medaled in national- and state-level competitions but his proudest archery accomplishment is being a three-time club champion of the Nevada County Sportsmens Club (Nevada City, CA). He is co-author of Precision Archery (with Claudia Stevenson) which has sold over 12,000 copies and is the author of Coaching Archery.
