"Dear Andre" is a collection of mother-son letters between Long Yingtai and Andre. The 36 family letters in the book cover the relationship between mother and child, family, country and world, generation gap, and the differences between Chinese and Western cultures. When Andre was 14 years old, Long Yingtai left Europe and returned to Taiwan, China, to serve as the "first cultural director of Taipei City."
