These are regular playing cards, except they feature images of characters representing microbes - bacteria, viruses and fungi. The cartoon images depict some of the real-life characteristics of the microbe, or of the infection it causes.
The bacteria and fungi nanobugs are morphologically correct, so the body image depicted on the playing card matches their shape as they are observed under the microscope. Whether they're rods, spheres, chains or clusters, the body shape of each character is scientifically correct. Since anaerobic bacteria do not grow in the presence of oxygen, those Nanobug characters are shown wearing gas masks!
