Yuet-wan Lo originates from Hong Kong. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and later moved to the United Kingdom in 1996. She taught Chinese and Social Science subjects in schools in Hong Kong for 10 years. During this time, she started writing for publication and won several awards in writing competitions in Hong Kong, including the first runner-up in The Sixth Creative Writing Competition (Children Story) by Sun Ya Publications Limited and the 65th Anniversary Writing Competition (Women's Group-Essay) by Wah Kiu Daily News in 1990. She also won a few writing merit awards in 1994 and 1995. Xue Zhang originates from Tianjin, China. She moved to the United Kingdom in 2006. Having graduated from Tianjin Foreign Language University, she went to Yokohama National University in Japan for further education and was awarded a Master Degree. She has been working in the field of Chinese Language and Cultural Education for over 19 years in Japan and the U.K. Currently she is the deputy head teacher of Real Chinese Academy in London. Craig Tranter was born and brought up in England. He currently works as the Curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages in an Ofsted Outstanding Secondary School and Sixth Form College near London. He studies French, Spanish and Italian at the University of Hull until 2009 before completing his Teacher Training at the University of Cambridge. He then went on to complete his Masters in Education at distinction level and continues to enjoy teaching and learning new languages to this day.
