"While learners might feel comfortable speaking or reading Spanish, there's no way to know, without experience, the conventions involved in writing a Spanish-language document. ""How to Write in Spanish"" explains in a clear, precise way how to write in Spanish many kinds of common documents. This book should appeal to a wide spectrum of ""Spanish as a second language"" learners, from advanced beginners still unsure about the language to fluent speakers who simply don't know the standards involved in writing certain documents. ""How to Write in Spanish"" deals with situations that non-native Spanish speakers commonly find themselves in: a Spanish-language student trying to fill out college registration forms for study abroad, a businessman needing to provide a cover letter for information he's sending to a Latin American colleague, or even just someone wanting to write an e-mail to a Spanish-speaking friend. With these requirements in mind, ""How to Write in Spanish"" considers many kinds of documents, ranging from application forms to business cover letters to personal letters. The material will be divided into 10 units, each focusing on a different type of writing. The purpose of each type of writing and the steps necessary for creating it will be explained in detail at the beginning of each unit. The units are kept relatively short to keep the reader's attention. Also the units are arranged so that by completing specific tasks readers are able to immediately see the results of their work."
